Significant Noon-Snaps

Way back in March 2011 we fired up a small babycam-like webcam device, aimed it out the first-floor bathroom window at the driveway, and programmed the camera to email us short video clips of whatever moved in the field-of-view. Our initial intent was to have a way to keep a security-eye on our little ballot-box of a vacation home while we weren't on-site here.

Soon after that we figured out how to grab an image and save it, and FTP it up to the web site every interval (arbitrarily chosen to be 120 seconds - every 2 minutes), and we added the webcam page to the BallotBox web site, showing a near-real-time image from the Ballot Box, seven days a week, 24 hours a day.

Then we figured out out to archive the noon image to a hard drive, and that was the birth of the noon-snap feature!

Ten years of archived noon-snaps is bound to capture a few significant images... here are a few!
